ACSR/AS (ACSR/AW) signifie Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced/Aluminum-Clad Steel Reinforced. C'est un type de conducteur ACSR qui possède une couche extérieure faite de fils d'acier revêtus d'aluminium (Aluminum-Clad Steel wires), ce qui offre une résistance supplémentaire à la corrosion et une résistance améliorée.
Ces types de conducteurs sont couramment utilisés dans les lignes aériennes de transport et de distribution d'électricité en raison de leur haute résistance, de leur faible poids et de leur bonne conductivité. Les ACSR/AS (ACSR/AW) sont également reconnus pour leur capacité à résister aux conditions météorologiques extrêmes et peuvent être utilisés sur des lignes de transport courtes et longues.

ACSR/AS ou ACSR/AW – Le nom complet : Conducteurs en Aluminium, Armés d'Acier Revêtu d'Aluminium (Aluminium Clad Steel Reinforced). Ce sont des conducteurs toronnés concentriquement avec une ou plusieurs couches de fils d'aluminium 1350-H19 étirés à froid sur une âme en fil d'acier revêtu d'aluminium (Aluminum Clad steel wire core). L'âme peut être monobrin ou toronnée en fonction de la taille.
